  • Competitions may run up to 30 minutes ahead of schedule at any point.
  • Please adhere to the arrival times to ensure proper dancer warm-up
  • Awards follow each category.
  • PLEASE ENSURE CDL JACKETS ARE WORN THROUGHOUT THE VENUE

 

SPECTATOR RULES – INFERNO 

**Parents**

 Please advise all family and friends attending to watch your child to adhere to the competition rules.  Parents or spectators found to infringe on the rules may cause the studio to be disqualified.

  •  Rehearsal Hall – No parents allow in rehearsal areas as space is needed for dancers
  • Lost Articles – Dance Roots Inc. will not be responsible for lost or stolen articles.  Please leave valuables at home and label ALL belongings.
  • Backstage – Only instructors and dancers are allowed in the backstage area.
  • Prompting – absolutely NO prompting from the audience for any routine
  • Withdraw or Cancellation – No refunds or fee transfers will be permissible for withdrawn or cancelled dancers.  Fees are your commitment as per the competition contract signed in October
  • Cover-Ups – Dancers must ALWAYS wear a cover-up over their costume when in the theatre.  As per CDL competitive rules, cover-ups must represent Connectivity Dance.
  • Good Sportsmanship – Good Sportsmanship & proper conduct is Mandatory.  Rudeness and improper language will NOT be tolerated from any person attending and is grounds for disqualification.
  • Cameras & Video Equipment – NO CAMERAS, FILM, VIDEO EQUIPMENT or any other recording devices will be allowed in the theatre during the festival.  Any person found using such equipment may be subject to disqualification of their child / student / studio – at the discretion of the Festival Committee.
  • Taps – Tap Shoes are only permitted on the stage.
  • All decisions of the adjudicators are FINAL.  No one will be permitted to talk to the adjudicators, timers or writers during the festival
